Are there any restrictions on what I can ship by air?
The main limitations to be considered are the size and/or weight of your shipment (some cargo is simply too large or too heavy to safely or cost-effectively ship by air), and whether there are any international laws prohibiting the shipping of your cargo.
Will I get a refund if my cargo is lost or damaged?
Under international conventions freight forwarders and carriers have limited liability for the loss or damage of goods. Should there be an incident of loss or damage, your compensation will most likely be calculated against a standard liability clause and that is why cargo insurance covering the gap between standard liability and the full value of your goods is recommended. Will my shipment be delivered on time?
Air freight is the most reliable mode of transport in terms of delivery times, but even air travel can be affected by unforeseen events. We are committed to honoring our delivery times and take steps to prevent delays and will do our best to overcome them through alternative routing where possible. Sometimes, however, delays are unavoidable, and when this happens we will work with you to agree to a suitable alternative delivery time.
What are fuel surcharges and will I have to pay them?
Extraordinary events, major weather patterns, holidays, exchange rate fluctuations and changes in international supply and demand affect fuel costs and there is no way for us to predict at the time of quoting what the actual fuel costs will be. We thus quote at the lowest possible average and only charge a surcharge, at the lowest possible rate, if it is unavoidable.
